Basics
Welcome wonderful parents and amazing students! I'm Ms. Norman and I am 29 years young! I have lived in Memphis all of my life. I enjoy traveling and spending time with my friends and family. I also enjoy teaching and learning new things. I am your child's 3rd grade ELA and Social Studies teacher for the 2017-2018 school year. This is my second year teaching 3rd grade at Southwind Elementary. I currently taught 7th and 8th grade Math and History for the Desoto County Schools district. I love Love LOVE my students and you have my word that every decision I make in our classroom will be with the students' best interest in mind. I am excited to be teaching your brilliant 3rd graders and it is my goal to make this their best year yet! |
My Childhood
I grew up in the Eastern part of Memphis, Tn. From Kindergarten through 6th grade I attended Sheffield Elementary. My favorite subjects as a child were Spelling and Science. My 7th grade year I attended Sheffield High where I attended through my 12th grade year. My mom worked as an educator Sheffield Elementary and Fireside Temple Early Learning Center and my Dad work at Memphis City Hall as a cartographer.
My Education
In 2013 I graduated from University of Memphis with a Bachelor's of Science Degree in Education Early Childhood with a minor in Sociology. In 2016 I graduated for the 2nd time from the University of Memphis, this time with a Master's of Science Degree in Education Instruction and Curriculum Leadership.
